Melvin Was Saved By His Detector
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!LAST WEEK (MELVIN) MY METAL DETECTING PARTNER WAS ACTUALLY "SAVED" BY HIS DETECTOR. WE WERE HUNTING IN SOME UNEXPLORED TERRITORY AND MELVIN GOT A VERY LOUD...TIN...SIGNAL ON HIS DETECTOR. HE STARTED NOT TO INVESTIGATE IT BUT THEN HE CHANGED HIS MIND. HE REMOVED A VERY LITTLE DIRT FROM THE TOP OF THE GROUND AND FOUND THREE PIECES OF TIN...COVERING AN OPEN WELL !! IF HE HAD TAKEN ANOTHER STEP HE WOULD HAVE WOUND UP IN THE WELL....INVESTIGATE EVERYTHING AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE....PAPPY

Very good reminder! On an outing in some woods a friend of mine got a little scare when he happened on a small pipe about a foot round that went straight in the ground... maybe an old well? Not sure but he was releaved when he uncovered it and it was not any larger! Be safe!!!!
