coin cleaning

whats the best to use to clean up clad coins beside tumbling?

That's my first step before tumbling.
Other than that, and possibly soaking in some sort of mild acid that makes the coins look unnatural, I'm out of ideas.

I use a very soft steel wool pad works great.

i just find the nearest coke machine and toss a few in, hit the coin return and presto...clean coins in a flash.
