Exclamation Need quick answer if possible, want to hunt tonight!

There was an old building torn down here where I live. They are fixing to pour the concrete. I do not see a no trespassing sign.

What are the rules of a construction site? I want to go tonight so any advice is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
Kim

A construction site is probably private property and in my opinion you should ask permission and i've been on sites where i had to wear a hard hat mainly because i think the workers wanted to see how much of an idiot i would make of myself but they said for insurance reasons HH Bill

Hello,

If it is not roped off and no danger what would be the harm in detecting it.
I know I would in my small town because I know most everyone.

But all in all it is always good to ask permission but sometimes that isn't possible.

IF IT IS NOT POSTED IN ANY WAY THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO IS TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE IF YOU ARE FOUND THERE....PAPPY

Default Detecting Constuction sites ?

Pappy is right !! When I detect construction sites I usually go on Sundays. Knowone is around but the occassional patrol officer and all they asked me "Have ya found anything yet?" Be prepared for ALOT of iron and debris from the origanal structures !! I usually detected in front of the torn down structure first by the street and side walk first !! Its amazing the goodies buried there !! If the structure has an open basement WITH WALLS If it dont have cement for walls, FORGET IT !!! its really a PRIMO place to detect if it has a dirt floor !!! Getting down into the basement was really a trick but in this torn down building I detected in the basement yeilded a 1916 Mercury dime !!! SO !!! If I were you I would go ahead !!! Like Pappy said all they can do is ask ya ta leave !!! HAPPY HUNTING !!! KENNETH
