Default New River

DUG, I USED TO LIVE ON THE NEW RIVER AND STILL LIVE ONLY 8 MILES FROM IT. THE INDIANS NAMED THE RIVER DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS AN EVER CHANGING RIVER. THE BOTTOM OF THE RIVER CHANGES EVERY DAY. THE RIVER IS BELIEVED TO BE OVER 400 BILLION YEARS OLD...THAT'S RIGHT!! 400 BILLION YEARS !. IT IS ONLY ONE OF TWO RIVERS IN THE WORLD THAT FLOWS "NORTH" IT AND THE NILE. A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS TO INCLUDE WOOLY MAMMOTH SKELETONS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN AND ALONG THE NEW RIVER. VERY FASINATING PLACE TO LIVE AND SCOUT AROUND.....PAPPY

Awesome pictures, awesome place! I would love to paddle up to the falls in my kayak, but not over them.
