Default Tried to get out ...BUT!

Big Big Storm for us.

I was going to go hunting Sun, BUT! Mother nature decided that it just wouldn't happen. We had a monster storm Sunday morning at 5:00am. This wasn't just a summer thunder storm either. It was so black out, it was like the middle of the night. The wind picked up, and rain was coming in all the windows in a straight line. The wind was something else too. As I was going around the house closing it up, I heard the nasty sound of a tree cracking and it was on its way to the ground. But it didn't make it to the ground, it's progress was stopped by our house. The power went out shortly afterwards, and just this morning it came back on. We had us a tornado. Lots of trees around our area were uprooted.or snapped right off. Most were just twisted off. Power lines were hanging all over the place. What a mess we had to contend with on this one. Sooooooo, for the last three days I have been cutting lots of fire wood. Lucky for me the tree did no damage to our roof. It only punched a twelve inch hole through the siding of the garage. Easy to fix thank goodness. I wanted to have a hunting report, but I guess it will just have to wait till this weekend. Hope everyone else had good weather, and successful hunting. I will post a couple of pics I took if ya'll want to see them tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about that. The good thing is no one got hurt! Siding can be replaced, but someone's life can't.The Gunny
