Default Coffee anyone??

Hey everyone!! I will be travelling west at the end of August....on my way to Arizona and New Mexico....and would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in getting together for a cup of coffee, along the way. My partner(s) and I will be heading out to the "Badlands" in search of a couple of famous treasures ( and a few not so famous....lol) and will be out in the field for several months. It promises to be one heck of an adventure ( rattlesnakes included )......and I am so excited I can hardly wait!! I'm not sure, at this point, what route we will be taking.....but if you drop me a line, or PM, I would love to make a stop in your neighborhood and share stories over a cup of java. You can reach me by PM here....or at my email lady_britches@yahoo.com
Look forward to meeting ya........

LB

P.S. You know why a rattlesnake won't bite an attorney, don't ya? Professional courtesy. LOL

Default DUH...lol

I'm sorry, Rick....lol. Didn't mean to be so vague. Actually, we will be investigating several sites over both NM and AZ.....basically all will be from I-40 south in both states. But we plan on being out for quite awhile....most of the fall I'm thinkin. So, if you're interested....just send me your contact info ( by PM or email )....and will give you a shout when we set out. I'm sending you a pm with my info.

Default Rattlesnakes

Ok...Ok....I've gotten a few emails about THAT one....lol. But, being a female, and already surviving a bad Copperhead bite in my youth.....rattlesnakes are not very high up on my list of "good finds"...lol. Yes...I know some people actually eat them (Yuck!)....and their skins are very attractive and highly sought (I have no problem with their skins....it's their fangs that worry me). And, I know that there are some good attorneys out there (it was a joke...SHEESH!! But you did say that you had never been bitten by a rattlesnake.....hmmmm?). Soooo.....with that said.....I'm still looking for anybody interested in sharing a cuppajava on my way west. Have lined up a few already, but would love to hear from any other takers out there. Give me a shout...

Hi Lady Britches

Not so much the rattlers you have to worry about Here In NM, although we have our share, its the spiders, Brown recluse ,black widow ,and of course the ever lovin tarantula . everything here bites, pokes or stings ,LOL

I need to ask you , these sites you are interested in, are they for searching or looking? makes a difference how I present the info !!

I mean we have ghost towns, with little left and ghost towns taken over by the artsy crowd, some places can be detected with no problems others carefully until asked to leave! we have Billy the Kid history and indian wars and Buffalo soldiers, the trinity nuclear bomb site ,and mexican history dating from before dirt.

we have columbus in the south west corner of the state with poncho villa and the calvary fighting Him there(one of the better detecting sites, its been done a thousand times but still gives up tokens and buttons shells and bullets.

for the oldest places, Alb,santa fe, and belen, the I-25 corridor has several old forts listed, one or two are historical sites, the others mostly disappeared into the sand.

only two civil war battles fought in NM one in the north and one in the south, grey won the one in the south , blue won the one in the north, they were all about the supply line .

Rick

Just wondering what kind of info

Default Spiders???

....." I don't like spiders and snakes...and that ain't what it takes, to love me....".....who did that song?? LOL.
Thanks for trying to comfort me, Rick....but it ain't workin'...lol. So, if you nice folks down there in NM happen to look out your window some night this fall....and see two moons shining in the night sky, you'll know that Lady Britches just found a tarantula in her bedroll....

I'm interested in what interests YOU.....what do you think would make a good daytrip for someone passing thru your area? All of the places you mentioned sound cool to me....lol.
