Default new hampshire mine

About 25 years ago i was visiting N.H with several friends.we were driving around with no place particulr in mind, just sightseeing in the white mountain area.We stopped one morning in a small town for breakfast when some locals told us of an old fire tower on the top of a mountain, were they would hang out and party. We found the spot and drove as far as we could on an old service road then had to walk quite a distance. We were throwing a frizzbee and it whent over a steep bank,i worked my way down and found the frizzbee on a ledge outside of a small cave, thinking of the bears in the area i peared in and saw an old shovel and some other rusty metal. At the time i was young and dum and thought nothing of it.But now i have to wonder if this was an old mine.I have no idea where we were but mabey this will ring a bell for someone in N.H.Good luck and if anyone should find this spot i would like to hear the story(and a small percentage of the riches found would be nice lol)

Hey Rip,

Would this be in the Lake Winnipesaukee area? Maybe Meredith or Center Harbor area?

Just wondering.

I was born and raised in NH.... moved down south due to the military... been here ever since.... hate the snow.... hate that the old man in the mountain crumbled and fell off.....
