From what i've read the Bigfoot coil is not that great in target separation and isn't very deep. The primary purpose of the Bigfoot coil is sweep coverage on shallow targets.I've looked high and low for a posted Bigfoot program and came up negative. So basically i would suggest adjusting Recovery Speed up or down based on how many targets your hitting at the site and Small increases in A.C.Sens and Pre Amp Gain to achieve greater depth.Since it isn't intended for deep searching, going overboard on sensitivity and gain increases may inhibit performance so perhaps some changes may include Tone ID -ON and is a great help in target identification because instead of hearing a single tone you hear the tone based on Conductivity, Modulation -OFF this allows the faint signals to come thru the same as shallow targets on the audio side and a lot of deeper finds are made in this mode.lastly i would suggest Mixed Mode but only if you are in an area without too much trash because you'll hear all the targets above your discrimination point as a high tone ,and below disc point as a lower tone in all metal. Perhaps it may or may not help but i sure would like to know because i am thinking of getting one sometime. Good Luck @ HH Bill

Default Big Foot !!!

Thanks Bill !! I have tried my Big Foot numerous times on my favorite hunting grounds ( soccer fields) ! With Tone ID ON I can swing the coil at a moderate speed and cover ALOT of ground !! My last outing at the soccer fields yelded me $4.23 in clad and a 10k gold Snoopy pendant !!!! I would sugest the Big Foot coil to anyone that is into the modern coinage and jewlery mode with the Big Foot Coil LIKE ME !!!! Your right though , if ya turn AC Sens up a # or two ya gain a little more depth but nothing really noticable except in my bench testing ! Tone ID gives ya some idea what is under the coil but ya cant be in a hurry ! I swing the Big Foot coil about 3 seconds per swing due to the narrow field of detection ya can skip right over the goodies if ya aint carefull!!! And mostly listen for high tone because I have found that gold items are few and far between ! Thanks Kenneth Huddleston
