I have had my DFX since March, and have done a lot of playing around with different programs. I have heard lots of good things about the book from Jeff Foster, so today I ordered one. I'm hoping after reading it I can get my machine fine tuned to the point I am making even better finds. For those of you that already have it, what are some of the key things I should read, and re-read. Of course I will go through it with a fine tooth comb to begin with, but my question is, are there some things I should really look at more closely.

I had a DFX and i just couldn't get into a stable environment in my area due to EMI problems.I went back to the XLT and all is well. I have the Jeff Foster book and found much of the technical knowlege relates to detectors in general so i kept the book.I feel the most pertinant information can be found in chapters 6 thru 13 as long as you understand the basics.The programs are ok but every area is different and as long as you know your machine the programs can be used as a start point. Just my opinion. HH Bill
