Default Heading out to detect

Hi,

JohnWPA is driving down here to detect an old 1835 school house with me. We'll let you know what was found tonight

You all have a good day today.

We are upgrading this forum today so there might be some down time but it will be worth it

Greg

Hi everyone....

Adding to Greg's thread here....YES it was an exciting day! We started out at the old school house and picked-up clad plus junk...it was looking very dim when Greg mentioned he had to go to the bathroom but where the school house was located by a busy road in the open - neighbors around....I happened to mention well why don't you go on over across the road there was an opening to a patch of woods. Greg heard what I said but he mentioned I'll wait and started to detect again....well after 5 minutes he couldn't wait anymore and he flew across the street!!
Upon his arrival back from the outdoor bathroom....Greg was quiet and reserved....after 5 minutes of detecting he mentioned to me to take a walk across the street and don't wet yourself....I was a little puzzled about what he said, so I hustled on over there and went through the little opening in the tree's and here was my face!
I walked back over to the school house and look at Greg and he looked at me....I said we need to go over there for a few minutes real quick...Greg goes lets go!!!!!!!!!

Once in the wooded lot I was on one end and Greg was on the other....after a few minutes of detecting Greg hollers over JL a coin....I went over to him and there it was an old 1918 wheatie and another 1944, as I was standing there talking to Greg....resting on my detector....I heard a beautiful sound in my headphones....I said to myself I have to dig this....thank God I did....my face again looked I'm posting a few pictures of the place Greg found in the woods due to his need for the bathroom and he'll have to post that sparkling coin I found because it's currently soaking!

We went to another area and Greg tore up the wheatie's and a silver dime!

Enjoy the story and the pics!
John

Hello,
Sorry to keep you all in suspense I've got a new laptop (thanks again JL) and was adding all my stuff to it

Anyways, yea the coffee goes straight through me
I'll never forget the look on John's face when he dug this quarter.
I'll find out what this old time place used to be very soon. I was born and raised in Fairchance PA and never knew it existed.
I feel there will be many old time coins there to dig. I found an old time license plate there too (I'll upload its pic tonight)

Below is my buddy JohnWPA holding his prize find He's worked hard for the older coins and its now paying off for him
I've also added a pic of my silver dime find.
