Default Pappy's Neighbor!!!

How lucky can I get. I just joined the forum today and I am new to MDing. Not 15 min after signing up I get a email from Pappy himself telling me that we are neighbors. He lives about 45 min from me. He also asked if I would like to go hunting with him sometime. I have been reading his posts and he seems to be very helpful and knowledgeable, something lacking in other forums. I can't think of anybody better to learn from. I have a Garrett Grand Master CXIII in like new condition. When I posted a hello on another forum all I got were replies telling me my detector was outdated but they had a 1K unit for sale, and it just happens to be on sale this weekend, so lucky for me. On this forum I get a sense of folks truly trying to help others and further the hobby. I know my unit is not as advanced as some of the newer models but it works for me and I am able to find stuff, so for now it is just right. I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to learning from y'all.
God Bless
Kevin L.

Hey Kevin.......I'm using a 1983 white's 6000DI Pro....imagine that...an analog machine......and it still does a fine job. I don't know how long it'll be before I'm any good with the eagle spectrum. I am pretty competant with the 6000 already, so if I tire of not finding stuff with the Eagle...I can switch to the machine I know implicitly for awhile.

I just joined the forum a couple days ago.....and Greg lives 10 miles from me. We talked on thephone last night for a good while....imagine that....2 THers with stories to swap. He's invited me to hunt as well. This indeed seems to be a great bunch of guys here, I've no doubt about it.

Most of us understand that its not so much what detector your using its how you use it.

I for one love the Bounty hunter line and seen many a coins dug by using one.
