Our club the Butler Treasure Hunters had our hunt on Sat. But I had made other arrangements a long time ago and wasn't able to go. The family and friends went to Tall Oaks up in the Allegheny Forest. It is a really neat craft show deep in the woods. It was a winderfull day. On the way home we stopped outside Tionesta Pa., at the River Forks for dinner. We sat outside on the river overlook and watched a momy and daddy eagle soaring around in the sky in front of us. Then we watched (we think) their offspring learning to fly and catch fish. It was soooooooooo nice to see them in the sky. The day before there was a large bear playing in the river just below the overlook where we ate. I did miss my friends at the hunt but I made up for it by seeing these beautiful birds in their natural home.
If anyone is ever in the area they should go there for lunch towards the evening. Around 4 or 5 pm and you might see them in the skys. We have been going up there for years and seen the Eagles most every time. There are also deer in the fields across from the river.
