Grabbed my gun, metaldetector(,and all the accesories) threw em in the van and headed out yesterday. It was an unseasonabley warm day and things were lookin good.Well i got about half way to were i was heading, ran out of gas, then ran the battery dead trying to start it.So i grabed my all my stuff and started walking( up a very steap hill) I got about 2 miles when my brothers girlfriend came along She gave me a ride to my brothers so by the time i got gas and all that i was ready to hunt(treasure).whent to the old ballfield and found 1919 merc and a 1902 barber quarter in the first 5 min. of searching. So i guess the moral of this story is ya just gotta take the good with the bad !

Good luck with the deer guys. My season ended a couple of weeks ago. Hunted religiously for two weeks, saw a couple of nice bucks but nothing to shoot at. Season is over, weather changed so now have a nice big Mulie, four point west coast, eight point east coast, hangin out on the back of the property.. Did find some old can dumps while I was out wandering around, umm I mean hunting, so wasn't a total lose. Also spent about 20 minutes one morning watching a family of coyote playing in the tall grass on the far side of a meadow.. Priceless.... Bob

taking my boy tomorrow evening, been planting, oops scouting for a couple weeks. He will have his pick of deer. Around here the deer are exploding in numbers, fewer hunters etc. They keep making the season longer, rifle season is a month long in some counties. Basically if it is brown it's down because it is either *** all season long!! That is how you can tell an area has to many deer. I kill for the meat not the trophy so I prefer a young doe over a big buck, but seeing those racks is not something I am going to pass-up. Y'all stay safe and keep it in the kill zone!!

it's not the guns in the woods that I am afraid of, it is the gun's in the city!!!! I am not talking about fellow CCW holders like me!!!

Amen Brother... I feel a lot safer in the woods at night than in the city. Least up here when I hear shots I know it's friendly fire... Fellow CCW holder... Bob
