Mt quetion is this. If I were to get the larger serch coil for my ace 250 does it come with a cable or is that an extra? I would also like to ask if a larger cable than original were used would it help or hinder in the depth quality?

hey porchdog i think all coils come with cable my fisher does and as far as the length a foot or so i my opinion wont hurt it.i have wondered about twisting the cable around the shaft if doing that hurts or helps everbody does it so guess not.keep em straight down there in the peach state cr

I wasn't as concerned about length as I was about gauge. Seems the heavier the gauge the lower the resistance. Am I wrong in this logic? I don't know much bout letricity.
