Well, I finally broke down and ordered me a sniper coil and the 9x12 proformer coil for my Ace 250. I also placed an order for some of the Garrett books he has published, and what I needed most was a good pair of headphones. The ones I had were just not sufficient.

I guess I will have to get used to fleas and dog biscuits because I have a feeling I won't be sleeping in the nice warm bed inside for awhile.

No sence in going only half way. The fussing will be intense either way, but it is like a thunderstorm. It roars and thunders alot but the sun eventually come out. I am just lucky valentines hasn't passed us yet.

Will the electronics of the 250 calabrate itself to the new coils?

The only thing that may change is the depth reading as the depth is calibrated to the stock coil but target ID should all be the same. Small coils generally say a target is deeper than it is but just adjust as you will to the doghouse and bisquits .. Good Luck HH Bill
