Default Warranty only two yrs

I've stayed with two Fishers - lifetime warranty (orig owner). My White and Garrett go in for $50+ tuneups too often. Minelabs can be termpermental.
When you think about the difference of 2 yrs vs. lifetime!

Why do you think that your detector needs a "tune up" ? There is really no such thing as one when it comes to this hobby. They are charging you 50 bucks just to tell you nothing's wrong. Your staement can be mis understood to mean that ALL Whites etc NEED to be sent in. This is simply not true.

Default True - Agree with Tony, tunes up not necessary

In each case when I have sent in units for a tuneup it is because of performance problems. Never have had a unit sent in but what they change out one or more of the electronics. Or fragile battery clips in case of Garrett.
