Default Quick Question???

I have a quick question for everyone!!! What does lead read on your detectors? I got out last night and found a brick (about 50 lbs) of what I think is melted lead.... but when I found it my metal detector went nuts, was reading $1-silver range.... about made me go deaf with my head phones on.... what ever it is it is very heavy for its size. Its about 3" tall and about the size (in diameter) of a coffee can. Found it about 14" deep.
I will try to get a picture posted soon....

Thanks Gunny

Default lead reads

generally reads lower, in the gold range on mine, whites idx pro...but I would think that anything the size you describe would give a strong overload like you describe, hope that helps

Ok on my deyector the VDI # is around 48-50 for lead bullets and the smaler the bullet the smaller the number. I bet my bottom dollar the reason you got such a strong high reading is because of the large amount in one area. Neat find hope you can get some pics up soon

Later Will
