Default Detecting Street and Sidewalk Replacements

Everyone,

just went to lunch and think I saw an incredible opportunity. A small town close to me is digging up and replacing its entire mainstreet and sidewalk!!!! Town dates back to the 1870's.

HAs anyone hunted an area like this? How can you tell if you are hunting fill dirt or virgin soil?

Not sure if this area would be productive or not.

I know this is a great site but what are you doing here ? GET OUT AND HUNT THAT SPOT NOW MISTER ! ! You have an oportunity that only comes along maybe once or twice in your lifetime. The potential for old coins is superior and I bet NO ONE has hunted there before. So get to it .

I know but where do I hunt?...

It just seems so messed up with gravel, etc. Definately know one has hunted this and I know the contractor so I would have free roming.

I've got to make it out there soon....Maybe I'll where a hard hat and blend in.

Thanks for all of your advice guys...I'm heading out there tonight with a buddy. I drove by today and notice a huge pile of dirt that had been dug up from the streets...NIce fine clean dirt.

I'll fill you all in tomorrow...

Thanks again and may the old coin Gods be with me.

OH MY!! this is going to be interesting.

I just got back from lunch. The contractor, who I know, but not personally (he knows all of my brothers) was not at the resteraunt so I went outside after eating and chatted with a cement truck driver that I knew. Low and behold here comes the contractor with his four wheeler. I said "Hey Randy, do you have a second? He say's "sure Brian" (surprised he knew my name). Anyhow I told him what I'd like to do and he said sure go ahead. Then..the best part...he said jump on and I'll show you what and when we are doing everything. He has taken the street down to THE BARE DIRT! Right below the sand level!!!! Can it get any better??

I have till Friday to hunt the street....then it will be covered with stone.

Also..an added bonus...He is putting all of the fill dirt in his sisters back yard right down from where they are working!!

He showed me three layers of sidewalk that he had to remove....down to bare earth!!!!

Oh MY...I better find something!!
