RIP, At least you did what you had to do to come up with a M/D. And it could be one of the best things you could have ever done. If you don't let it set in the closet. Just think you could luck out and find a cache and buy back you Chevolet? Have you made any good finds these last 2 years? Anyway have fun.

Hey Monk, the car was sitting in the closet ! The detector gets used all the time ! I've found many good finds with it and not just that but the time spent out detecting was well worth it !

Pretty little Monza Rip... I had a 68 Camero for a couple years before we parted ways. Just as well, we were not good together..

You gotta do what you gotta do
Metal Detecting is like a drug... I get high high as a kite every time I swing the coil
Even catch a buzz when I'm reading about every one Else's finds here.
The best part is after the initial detector purchase this buzz doesn't cost me a dime...it puts silver in my pocket.

If Rip wouldn't have sold his car he might've never got that nice detector & I surely wouldn't have gotten that nice button he sent me

Thanks again Rip!

hated to part with it as i had it longer than any other car and put a lot into restoring it.But it wasent doin me no good sitting around gatherin dust.(had an exust problem and the car was in NY and i was in VA.) I had a garrett 2500 at the time but needed somthing for water hunting as i got certified to scuba while in VA.Boobie,Its hard to say what the best find has been ! Chicken colonel buttons(your welcome Greg!),2 half reals, silver coins, large cents, some jewelry but best of all was the time spent finding it all ! Funny thing is i had my fisher for about a year and used it only once or twice, then i sold the Garrett and now i wouldent part with the fisher.Love the ability to jump right in the water(especialy on a day like today ! HOT !) Also The discrimination and depth is awsome ! 1 click of the dis.and it eliminates iron but leaves the good stuff (well mabey 1 or 2 percent of the time anyways, gotta account for all that lead and aluminum)and has 3 distictive tones so i know pretty much what type of metal it is before i dig.I do miss the Garrett in trashy areas though.Been looking at the new Garrett that has the imaging and some of the other features of the 2500 without the big price tag. HH all !!!

Here's my Girl,
Bought her last spring from a friend who bought her new.

1963 Chevy Step side
It had a 230 in it but the block is cracked. I'm looking for a 230 or 250 to put in it. I want to keep it original.

Greg

Actually thats a bag of vintage 1970's womens cloths that was given to me. I was going to sell them but now I may drop them of at the goodwill.

I'm not sure when I'll have the time or money to start restoring that old truck
