Default new detector

Just received a Quattro in exchange for a Nautilus. Any good suggestions on operation? Seems to have all the bells and whistles I need.

i ran mine in preset modes for a couple batt. packs. then i started with more advance settings. try to learn it in less trashy areas. then when you you do get a trashy area and use high trash setting you will understand it better. ive been happy with the 8"coil. use it most the time. pinpointing can be tricky with the 10.5 dd coil.

I like the machine to help me with identification, also the box was mounted in a way to make it akward and heavy. I know I didn't give it much time but it just didn't feel right.

Ahhh...I see. I have heard that the box is located at an awkward position. I am a bit different in that I do not like anything extra on my detector! Turn the knob to on, set discrim, and go!!! Happy Hunting Dawg and show us the Finds!!!
