Above the picture of a beach hunter digging the sands of Hammonasset Beach (Madison, CT)is the caption;

Source is attributed to the Dallas Morning News. Just a few highlights; current facility is 30,000 sq. ft. with 120 employees. Planned is a 45,000 sq. ft. expansion with room for another 120 employees. According to Mr. Garrett, he discovered a million dollar silver vein in an old Mexican Mine. One of his customers found a 61lb gold nugget in Australia. A replica is at the Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas. Current sales are 4000 units per month of the hobby lines. ![]() |
