Default I'm curious

Hi all,

I was talking about detecting with a co worker this week and an interesting subject came up that I thought would make for an interesting thread.

Here is the situation. You are detecting in a new and promising area. After a few minutes of swinging, you hit on a solid dime signal at six inches. You go through your pinpointing process and lay the detector down and reach for your digging tool and probe......

Do you personally:

A.) Anticipate that the dime will be clad, and are delighted if it turns out to be silver.

B.) Anticipate a silver find, and will be disappointed if it is clad.

C.) Predict that it may not be a coin at all, and be happy if it is not just canslaw.

D.) None of the above. (please explain).

Just thought I would post this as a rainy day diversion, the responses may be interesting. By the way, this co worker is the same one who stole my car keys and taped a merc dime to the bottom of my detector coil. Some folks are just mean spirited.....

See my earlier post of today. I would be thrilled if it was anything even if it was clad. JoAnne

At my age and with my knees , i'm thrilled that i can get back on my feet (lol). seriously, just the thrill of the find is good enough for me , what ever it is . I tell my wife it;s the connection with the person that lost it , the last and first person to have it their hand when it;s lost and found again .

I'm happy, as long as it is not the crappy canslaw, man I hate that stuff, and poptabs I'm so disappointed when It turns out to be a poptab. Otherwise I just love getting out there and have the chance to enjoy this hobby.

I'll go along with Pappy on this one too. THing is an adventure and a quest! It is also like Christmas everyday for with each swing of the detector only God know what you may recover. Each recovered target is like unopened-unmarked Christmas packages some will be great and some will be duds. But I wouldn't get down with the trivial finds cause with persistance and patience the good finds will come. Also one needs to relax and enjoy each day no matter what the out come may be! Hope this helps.....
