Default If you love your hobby all I ask is you read this

I have just started metal detecting again and also my son is interested in learning the hobby I checked into going to the local state park well the State of Arkansas is so restrictive it only allows 9 parks and only in the man made swimming area which the closes one to me is 75 miles, sense there hasn't been anyone complaining thats the way it is going to stay checking around the United States it is mostly the same or stricter but none of these are laws but only directives from the directors of State Parks. I posted an earlier post asking for help from the board members to email these guys and let them know it is time for a more realistic directive it doesn't matter what State you are from it just shows I have a lot of support but out of the 100's or even 1000's of people that look at this site only 22 even took the time to read my last post so please help me and email these guys and let them know it is time for a more realistic directive on metal detecting at Arkansas State Parks

that's the attitude that has allowed the beaurocrats all over the United States to restrict your rights, will you just sit around until they restrict all your spots you metal detect at? then that will be to late

i have no governmental issues here in the great state of pennsylvania.

i didn't vote for anyone in ardinvarksaws

previous detectors in that state must have made a mess digging up whatever they found then they tighened up the rules

Pretty much the same in NY,I worked at a state park and was told i could only detect the beach with a permit. If you get cought picking a flower you can be ticketed.A friend recently whent to the same park and was told by a park ranger that he could detect there all he wanted after labor day I think that the reason we are not allowed is because The people who work there dont have a clue. Most of these rules are meant to keep people from cutting trees or otherwise tearing up the place not becuse of past indiscretions by deterorists.A person huntig deer(allowed),riding a snowmobile (allowed) or doing a hundred other things does more damage than i would diggin up a few coins. If we had more people like Arky mabey somthing could be done !

thanks for the kind words rip if we don't start working together we are going to be pushed out from all the places to metal detect because there is not people pressuring the people in charge making the directives
