Default Dressing for the Part

OK this may seem silly but I have a clothing question. How does everyone carry all their gear that they need for MDing. Usually I have my MD of course, my headphones, my digger, my probe, my cell phone, and my car keys, bag for trash, cloth for putting dirt on, gloves, etc. You get the picture. I do not wear a belt so that is out. I find that I just do not have enough hands or pockets. I recently thought I had solved the problem with buying an upland bird vest - It seemed perfect with all the pockets and pouches, however, it is bright orange. Good for deer season but not for other seasons especially if you do not want to draw attention to yourself. I am interested in what others do. Thanks for any information. JoAnne

JoAnne,

BDU are great they have plenty of pockets and room to feel comfortable. Overalls are another great one and most have that painter pants strap that you can slide you probe or shovel in. Another great thing that I use is an apron. One like you can get for free at the hardware store. Mine has 2 pockets, one for good and one for bad. I'm sure you will lots of good suggestions.

Default Hi Joanne !

I have a waist pack that has several pockets that i got from malboro(you can get them at wally world also) to this i atached my detector(waist mount) and sheaths for my tools.I am also going to get a small back pack for carrying bottles and larger "treasures" as i found that loading your pockets can couse your pants to fall down if not wearing a belt ! HH !

JoAnne-All I use is a 2.00 tool pouch I bought at walmart, it ties in the back. Vibraprobe slides on one side of tie and the sheath for my digger on the other side. That is all I usually carry with me. NOW when I go to our old house to hunt, I have a backpack I use because it is deep into the woods, It holds all the other essantials I need.

Thank you everyone that answered my question of what is BDU. I now know. They look similar to cargo pants. Will have to keep an eye out for some. Thanks again.
