Treasure Magnet

HI! i JUST ACQUIRED A POWERFUL MAGNET WITH 200 POUNDS PLUS PULLING POWER. I intend to attach a long rope to it and drag it thru several river and gullies around here! The previous owner said that he found a lot of gun parts doing this! I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience doing this and What may I expect? Thanks Joe

That's something I never would have thought about doing with a strong magnet... please keep us updated with your experiences! I can easily get access to good strong magnets... sounds fun!

Thats what I call Treasure Hunters Ingenuity. If there is a way to obtain treasure, the treasure hunter will find the way. There are so many lakes and ponds around me what a hunting expedition that could be. I like the idea. Good luck Joe. I know there are a bunch of people who will be interested in what you bring up.

I started doing that early this year on the local lakes . It's fun and get lots of stuff but nothing really worth keeping so far. Things are deteriorated badly to the point of just rusting away but it's still fun & who knows what I'll come up with next year?
