Default Odds Of Finding Ring At Beach?

After all these years I just remembered that my cousin lost a ring I do not remember if it was an engagement band or what but I know that he was real upset he lost it on the sand and we never found it. THE RING WAS GOLD I DO REMEMBER THAT. This happened about 8 years ago at Miami Beach when he was visiting me with his girlfriend at the time. What are the chances that that ring is still there and I can retrieve it for him. I also do not remember exactly where in the beach it was. It was so long ago. I am actually going to call him and see if he remembers and maybe go around the area and find it. LIKE BUBIE SAYS THAT WOULD BE A GREAT REWARD TO FIND THE RING FOR MY COUSIN. THE ODDS I THINK ARE AGAINST ME REAL BAD. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Default COUSIN's RING

Odds of you finding it is nil but your odds of finding other rings is high. I like to hunt in the shallow surf and look for the 1st and 2nd troughs. This is the low areas inbetween the sand bars. The trash sems to be lighter than on the beach and the good targets have a pretty good sound on them. If you can't do this, hunt the wet sand areas into a few inches of the surf. I have found many rings in this area also. Good Luck......
