Default Does Anyone Here Md For A Living?

I know that I will not be able to MD for a living anytime soon but some of you like Boobie, poppy, that young build kid that always finds and post some good stuff (forgot his name) and others here have so much thinks that it seems to me that you can just make tons of money by the things that you already have or will have at another hunt. Does anyone here make their living right now only by MD as their full time job? Let me know. Kinda interesting to know.

Default Md'ing

I have never made metal detecting my main job BUT I have made quite a bit at metal detecting. I used to Civil War Relic Hunt most all the time that I had to spare and had a Civil War Shop in Wilmington,N.C., Used to dig bottles and all types of artifacts and sell them in my shop.

Closest I ever came to that.....was a couple weeks ago when I didn't get enough cash from the bank to weather the weekend. I ran out of money on saturday night, and while it would have been easy to just write a check at the grocery store for some goods, I decided to see if I could feed myself for just one day with proceeds from metal detecting. You want a good challenge?....try it.

I went to the local drive in theatre and came up with enough quarters and dimes to buy 16 oz box of rotini, a jar of Prego spaghetti sauce, and a loaf of Celloni's hearth baked italian bread, so the Mrs and I had spaghetti for dinner.

I don't think it'd be much of a job....even if you could go anywhere your heart desired. My silver finds for about 14 months (about 250.00 worth retail value)....wouldn't pay my utilities for a month.

Default It would not be too easy

but I think some people like Boobie and others who have accumulated so many gold rings and weird coins, buttons, relics, antiques, and stuff like that could just sell some or all that stuff and make about at least a couple of hundred thousand. I went to boobie's website and it seems to me he could just sell some of his stuff and be well off at least for a long while. AM I RIGHT OR JUST IMAGINING? HOW MUCH WORTH DOES BOBBIE AND OTHERS HAVE TOTAL WORTH OF STUFF? JUST GIVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE IF YOU WERE TO APPRAISE ALL YOUR STUFF?

Wow Boobie - so right you are and so sensitive of you to say so. I am sure thru this forum and your friends you will never be forgotten. I know I am glad that our paths crossed even if we never meet. You are one sweet person. May you have many many more hunting days ahead of you. JoAnne
