but not from md. A guy gave me change back 2 days ago and one of the pennies was a wheat pennie I think 1937. I notice that even 2 to 3 years ago when I got change bach sometimes there were some wheat pennies but now a days it is rare to get a wheat with change. I hope they are worth something good in the future. Once I get my hands on them I keep them and store them for the future.

Being a coin collector since '72' I always keep my eyes open for any coin or bill with any age to it. I do on occasion get a wheat. What I've noticed over the years is the closer it gets to Christmas, the more silver and wheats I find. I would guess due to people digging deep for Christmas money. I have a total of maybe 2000 wheats, and they do go up in value nearly every year. Maybe only by a few cents a year, but if you keep them long enough it may be worth your while. As the years go on, there will be fewer and fewer of them, and then it might be worth cashing in.
