I can't remember where I got that tip from but I'm passing it on. I wish I could say it was my idea but its not. I just hope it helps some of you guys and girls decide to dig up that one item that you thought was trash. Remember that when you switch detectors you'll have to learn how to use that detector. Each brand is different and will preform differently depending on conditions. personally I think your better off finding a detector that your fairly good with and stick with that detector. If you get a new detector every year then you have to learn all the new quarks for the new machine. The only thing better then the cardboard trip is to set up your own test garden. One of those cheap swimming pools with 4 or 5 inches of sifted dirt would be ideal. Where ever you bury a coin or ring or trash you can put a golf tee with the depth and what is buried in that spot written on the tee. Swizzle
