What is the best way to search the coast? I know low tide is best but where? right on the water, on the wet sand, or where the seaweed deposits. Just curious. Went to the beach with my boys but gave up metal detecting because the boys were running on the low water but the undertoe was strong and just could not concentrate. but it would be good to know for the next time i can go by myself.

whites dfx. just found out that i could pinpoint a target with real good accuracy and the depth as well. I knew about the depth part but did not realize that the little silver switch when you hold it down to a target the closer you get to it the less the depth and at the least depth right at the middle of the detector that's where the object is. now i am detecting at like a third of the time. thanks bubbie. very informative
