Default Bought My 4th Detector Since Nov. 2006:

Howdy!

On Nov. 21, 2006, I bought a new Garrett Ace 250.

On Nov. 28, I exchanged the 250 for a new Garrett GTP 1350.

On Dec. 20, I exchanged the 1350 for a new Garrett GTI 1500.

On Jan. 3, 2007, I exchanged the 1500 for a new White's MXT.

That's 4 new Metal Detectors in 43 days.

Soon I'll be ready to go out in the field, but first, I'm shopping for a new small SUV to take me to the abandoned mines and squatter's ruins in the Desert wilderness areas.

That's it...
HAL

Smile I am a detector Addict

Just keep repeating that to yourself and you will end up with 14 of them like I did :) I truly believe different brands detect different in the same soils. I have proven that to myself many times. I guess after doing it for 35 years I learned that much :)

Default To Rav440:

Don't sell your 1973 Road Runner or your Whites 4900D! I don't know what your arsenal of detectors consist of, but you need at least one deepseeker in the bunch. The 4900 is very versatile, it can be used for deep coin, relic, prospecting, cache, and beach hunting. Most of its accessories such as the larger and smaller coils can easily be found! The Garrett Ace250 is a fine machine but I heard that it has depth limitations such as 6 inches on a silver dime! So it would be good for trashy areas but when you need extreme depth go with the 4900. Don't limit yourself to just one detector! I have special detectors which I have assigned to various activities in this sport! One detector can't do it all anymore. Also different brands detect differently, that is , after using your Garrett on a site then use your 4900 you will be amazed at what you will find. Of course, you can reverse this, use the Whites first..........etc. GOOD LUCK........JOE
