It is perfectly legal to hunt those beaches or any beach in the state of Florida. As long as it isn't a National Park such as Key Biscayne National Park or Cape Canaveral Seashore National Park.Detecting in state parks that are on the Atlantic and Gulf coast are legal if you get the Park Manager's permission first. You can hunt the low tide line to the edge of the dunes. This includes the Treasure beaches also, just don't go in the water within 3000 yards of the Mel Fisher lease sites with a detector in your hand. You won't be near any of those where you are going anyway. If you hunt near any of the so called "private" beaches where there are condos or homes on the beach, you may get harrassed by someone, but it is your legal right to hunt there so don't let them scare you off.Anyway have fun when you go and if you have a water detector, you may do a little better than on the sand. That's just based on the finds in my area anyway.Good luck and H.H.
