“Understanding White’s DFX”

I got my free copy of “Understanding White’s DFX” book by Jimmy Sierra yesterday. I have not had a chance to read it yet, just browsed though it. It looks like it could be quite informative. Although I don’t own a DFX, it sure would help to understand more of what detectors “really” do, and how they work. Also, it gives someone like me (still fairly new to the hobby) where this hobby can take you, and what the “top level” machines are capable of doing. I am looking forward to sitting down and reading me new book. Has anyone else got their copy yet?

If you decide to buy a DFX or "really" want to know how the DFX works and some great programs for it, get "Digging Deeper with the DFX" by Foster. There are no better books on the DFX than this one.

Understanding the DFX (Sierra), is a very good book. I really enjoyed reading it. I would recommend reading that book, then reading 'Digging Deeper'. Sierra's book is a great introduction to the machine in laymans terms, meaning, he segregates each screen and explains it, which, I think, will help you out when you get to 'Digging Deeper', which goes a little more indepth into the DFX capabilities.
