Default Torn between two

About to upgrade to a real detector, the one I'm using is a no name that came in a plain box marked metal detector. Kinda narrowed it down to two that are within my budget- the ACE250 or the Ciabolo. I have been in contact with Chuck at Treasure Hut who has been very helpful . Just wanted to maybe hear from some users of either or both.

I'm still very green at this- have been hunting for about a month now. Couple of things I was looking for are easy to use, light weight. I mostly like to coin shoot but replics may be in the future.

Thanks for any input.

Default go for the ACE 250

It has been getting great reviews on several forums. I bought one for a back up. It has many of the features of the high cost detectors but without all the bells & whistles.

It is perfect for the newbie and the coin shooter. I have several friends who have purchased one and are very satified with the Ace 250.

It's pinpointing is right on, the discrimination is easy and it locks onto a target really good. Learning curve is almost non-existing. I use mine when coinshooting and have done very well. "Ask Boobie"

Since you have only been hunting about a month I would get it, learn it and learn the proper ethic's of detecting, than save up for the higher priced detector.
