http://www.downscope.com/ Try this link...its made by a very nice guy who started his own company. he has a forum..Periscope probe classroom, where if you read the posts you will be sure of the products value. it is costly , but worth every penny! Its prob is 14" long and get this... it can tell the direction of the target, the type of metal the target is made of when the tip toughes the target!!

I think I have either purchased or used about every pointer made. Personally, the Periscope is in a catagory of its own. It has made digging nonproductive holes almost a thing of the past.

I have the BullseyeII that I got when bought the DFX. I use it when I am in the sand, and like it as the sand seems to stick to the target a lot making it tough to locate. Pat, you wanted to know a fairly good way to carry a pinpointer. Well this is what I did for mine. The plastic clips are thae ones that ski poles have keeping them together when you buy them at the ski shop. They usually just throw them away, and I got mine for nothing. Works for me.
