Default Potter County, Pa. lost treasures

Does anyone have any information about any of the "lost treasures" supposedly buried in Potter County: 1. the coins buried in milk cans by Dabole Hare near Sartwell Creek, 2. the silver bars buried near Gardeau associated with one Col. Noah Parker, 3. the lost silver mine worked by a Seneca Indian near Coudersport and Sweden Valley Pa., 4. the gold buried by a Frenchman near Borie, Pa. and marked with a cross chipped into a large rock...the potter poker

Default Treasures in Potter County

to boobieinpa....greetings,
I live in Coudersport and have just started with the hobby of metal detecting and treasure hunting. I have already explored a number of the sites I mentioned but it seems no one outside of myself has any interest in following up on any of these "old legends". This winter I am doing research on all of these interests by going through old historys and documents at the Potter County Historical Society. If you have any interest in some of these areas of interest I would be interested in having a discussion with you. If you want to talk about some of these things, e-mail me at ccole@zitomedia.net.....talk to you later...the potter poker

Thumbs up Potter County, Pa Lost treasures

The Feburary issue of Lost Treasure magazine has articles on the Borie Treasure $500,000 cache of buried gold coins near Coudersport. The Counterfitters cache of gold and silver near Eldred, Pa (McKean County). The military transport vanishes near Hicks Run $250,000 in gold never found (Elk County). There are websites listed for references but not sure if I'm allowed to post them here.

Welcome Potter poker ! Boobie is corect Free probably has it posted in his "Ghost towns of america" thread (mostly fiction) but sounds like your on the right track by cheaking the old records, newspapers etc. as that would be more reliable.
