Digging up the Past with Math
I just had to brag
 and also thank everyone on this site for their help! My son,and a friend, (10 yr olds) decided to do their Math Fair project on the math involved in making site grids and finding areas of fields that they were metal detecting on. It required using algebra, trigonometry, etc (my dad had to help with the trig- he's an engineer). Anyway- they won at the District Competition today and they will be headed up to Appalachian University for the Regionals in March!!! I am sooo proud and also excited that he has caught the mding bug like I have! I'll try to post a picture of him with the trophy and project board.
