Australian Find
I was hunting at Cherry Point housing and found a 1984 Australian one dollar coin. Does anyone know what it may be made of? It has an off/ cheap looking gold color to it. Thanks

Aussie response
No go on the photo, but it has kangaroos on the back. On my Prism 3, it read as tin. Some Marine could have brought it back from a port of call in Australia.

The 1984 Australian one dollar is made of Nickel-Aluminum-copper ,,
Mintages were very high for that year at 185,985,000 ,,the coin in AU or better has a nominal premium of 2.00 AU/ 5.00 BU . We would need to see some good pics to give you a grade estimate. Metalman
