Default 1st Find with new MXT/Post snow storm

I bought a new MXT about a month ago, because of weather I have not had a chance to even test it in the back yard. Well today out of neccesity, I pressed this soldier into service ... my wifes oldest son called to say he had lost his car keys while shoveling his grandparents driveway. So I fired the MXT up and went on my first hunt. I asked where he had been shoveling and when he noticed they were gone. We went to that spot and within 5 minutes found them in the large pile of shoveled snow. Yesterday and last night here in central Indiana we got about 15+ inches of snow.
I explained to the wife, who as it turned out thought my new hobby was going to be a waste of time and money (finding pennies and nickels is a waste! ) that this little adventure probably just paid for over half the cost of my TOY as she calls it.
Indy you should now what I'm talking about (snow)
Later all and thanks for a great sitte

One of the often over looked values of metal Detecting above and beyond the possible treasures, is peace of mind found with a relaxing and enjoyable hobby !!

My wife knows if I did not have my hobbies ,,I would probably not be fit for human contact !!

Great Job finding the keys !! Feels good doesn't it ?

I was looking at those MXTs. The reviews on ******* were good.

My wife has the same thought, maybe we can let them exchange telephone numbers so they can complain to each other

I know exactly what you are talking about Dirty-D, Its going to be a long time before this white stuff melts. Have you got some good spots lined up for spring? I know I do, good job in finding the keys. You never know your wife may become addicted to this hobby too.

Glad you found those keys, Dirty-D, and if they are the newer programmable type the replacement cost is wicked.

And in addition to this being a great hobby, it can at times actually be useful. When I first began I was asked to attempt finding a gold bracelet in a yard; I didn't succeed, but at least I felt good about trying to help someone out.
