Default The Fever has Broke Today!

It's 55 here now so I headed out detecting. Went to a spot called Weaver's bottom, it's the site of an old feed mill. Nothing much in the way of finds but did enjoy myself. Went down along the creek bottom and dug a few zinc lids along with some other unknown pieces. Went prying on a rock and bent my gator digger. Its unbelievable how much stronger my lesche is. Found another place to go. I read there was an old Log Tavern built in 1796 in my home town. It was demolished in 1940 and guess what it's a cleared grass lot now with nothing on it
I'll do a write up on this log tavern with picture this weekend.

Greg

You lucky dog ! Glad to see ya got out Greg ! If it's like that there it wont be long and it'll be up this way ! I figger some time in aug.these snow piles ought to be gone ! I just did some spelunkin under the trailer to thaw out my pipes again. One spot was tuff, good thing it was before lunch as i had to squeez all the air out my lungs to fit under one pipe ! But i did find some "relics" an old shoe, rubber ball, and a water pistol ! Good luck on that tavern site, cant wait to see what ya find ! Oh and i'll bet the privy-privy's would be nice to dig !

Greg I'm glad you had fun. That is the most important part; that and just getting out. I've found that the cleared grass lots are the best place to hunt. Although, you might not always come up with finds. I like getting on map quest and doing an aerial view to find clearings in the woods. I think I have found remnants of ghost towns this way. Just a hint. Happy MDing.

Feels good just to get out doesn't it. We were dodging Tornados today here in Mississippi.
