I'm back safe and sound (and maybe a bit saner) from my trip to the Adirondack mountains. Did a lot of hiking, birding, and relaxing. I only did 2 short metal detecting hunts, but I did dig a silver Rosie, some wheats, and a bunch of clad. Last night a black bear wanted in my car - the windows were slightly open and there was a banana in there. He ran off when I dropped my camera case trying to get a picture of him (Lucky for him, I would have showed him who's boss ). He was a tall skinny teenager maybe about 125 pounds. My buddy and me had a great time.
Glad you had a good time-still think your gonna hit 100 in july! This time of the year brings alot of adolescent bears around, had a very close encounter with one 2 years ago and lost the raincoat i was wearing to it.My buddy accuses me of hoarding a snickers bar in the pocket but i didnt(already ate it).exciting stuff!awesome pictures.congrats.Looks like a place where sanity is found.I need to go somewhere like that!!
Hey GhostMan, Glad you and your Bud had a good time. Awesome Pictures. It's always good to get away and unwind. Congrat's on the hunts as well.
