With the ground again covered with snow we took the 2 hour drive to the beach. My finds for the day were 13 pennies, 3 nickels, and 6 quarters, a pin, a silver ring and a necklace. There are no markings on the necklace but it was found about 2 feet from the ring in the wet sand.

Very nice targets and the necklace sure does look silver.

Nice hunt there. I have only hunted at the beach a few times here and I have a question. Do coins get that corroded in the sand usually? The few coins I have found at the beach look like they were just deposited there. I am just curious.

Nicely done bwana,, congrats on a productive hunt.
I'm not happy about the snow that is cutting into my hunt time but,, in about a week,, I'll be swinging the coil again.

Good hunt with nice finds. That's one way to beat the frozen ground issues.

Ok. Now I know. I am thinking the ones I got were up in the dry sand so that would explain it. Thanks.
