My brother-in-law John Martin had a brother,Robert Martin who recently passed......I met him only once many years ago........seems he was an avid collector and expert of Connecticut coppers......the only time I met him we discussed exploring the Machin Mills mint located near Newburgh NY,for discarded molds of their coins....unfortunately we never made that venture and it was the only time we connected.....little did I know and my sister told me that his collection of coins was was graded by Stack's as the best in the field....wish I had the oppurtunity to have had a closer friendship with the departed Robert Martin.....RIP

Possum, My condolences go to your brother-in-law in the passing of his brother. It sounds as if he had one major collection. It is a shame you two were not able to be closer, sharing the same love for the hobby. Sometimes that is the way life goes. RIP Mr. Martin, and God's Speed to his family during this time.
