Do not body mount sand shark control box

Do not body mount sand shark

I want to yell at the top of my lungs. Don't know how I did it, but I just broke the connection on my 8" coil (old discontinued type)

I put the box in a waist pouch, with lots of slack on the line. I step into the water, turn the machine on, and get that sputtering beep. Signal lost where the wire meets the connector. Now the coil and control box have to go to Tesoro to be hardwired.

:cussing:

This is the second time this has happened to me.

So all you SS users, take it from someone who has learned the hard way. Keep the box on the shaft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the cable attached to a bungee with Velcro strips. If I dropped the shaft, the bungee would catch it, and still had plenty of slack on the box end.

I thought I had it right.

Sounds like proverbial famous last words. Just bought a SS and will keep it attached to the shaft

Mines on the way.... I will leave it on the shaft.... I also put all my other machines back on their shafts. I am strong enough to endure ....better than possible cord ouches.
