Well, slowly but surely I'm settling in here in Pennsylvania. My neighbor introduced me to another coil swinger earlier this week. He invited me to join him on a trip to Olean, N.Y., for the monthly meeting of his metal detecting club.
I am now a member in good standing in the, "Enchanted Mountain Treasure Hunters. They are a friendly group and pretty active. I will be participating in 2 hunts with members of the club this month.
Here are a few pictures I took that were club related. They award prizes at each meeting for the best in each category.
The overall winner this month was a tie between an 1898 Silver Dollar and an 1833 Seated Dime. (5 votes each)

Well Done on the hunting club Windman, Congratulations. I have to say though that I feel this may be short lived. I fear that the club will soon tire of handing out this newbie' to the club all the first place prizes. I fear that they may have to Expel you from the club once they learn how dangerous you are with a swinging coil. Lol Well Done on getting settled in to your new place and meeting new friends.(y)

And they serve beer! Could be a good way to find a detecting buddy and keep your interest up. I cant find any local clubs but haven't tried that hard either. I gotta try again.
