Now that ya got the thing don't forget to wrap a piece of electrical tape around it so the speaker hole is covered. Some people use reflective tape to make it easier to keep up with the pointer but the main thing is to keep dirt and water out of he speaker hole. Some people think it's water proof and it isn't.
Glad ya got it ... I couldn't work without mine.

When ya pinpoint a Target with your detector,
then can take a pin pointer and find the target 4" deep
in the ground before ya dig any,
I'd say it is awesome to the Forth Power.:D

Wow, this thread is three years old and still has some life. I had forgotten it. Still have the GPP and love it. It has made target retrieval quicker and is still a great tool. I have dropped it a million times and now it sounds funny but still works fine.

I love mine, lemme tell ya the dumb cluck of the year award I did with mine, without thinking was in the shallow waters with the xcal, you got it, hit by a wave.. then I realized ohhhhhhhh chit, my pp...so I got home, took the battery out as I knew it was messed up and wet..it took one week for it to totally dry out..every time I tested it during that week, it didnt function right..finally after a whole week, crossing everything, I put the battery in, and whamo, it worked right..so you can bet your butt I wont do something stupid like that one again, lesson learned for sure.

oh the only difference between the vibra probe and the Garrett one is is the vibra is totally submersible and the garrett is not.. but the garrett pinpoints in the sand so much better then the vibra..also the Garrett doesnt like wet sands.

While at Panama Willies my Garrett PP worked great in both wet and dry sand. Not being a beach hunter I didn't have a scoop so the PP was the only way to ferret the goodies out of the sand.
Just saying.
