On supposedly gold jewelry - does anyone know what the markings "VG" and "GLR" mean? Both pieces have a 10K marking - but I'm not sure what the letters mean...one piece is marked VG 10K and the other GLR 10K...

Actually, I was going through a box of junk that I was getting ready to throw out...came across an old jewely box with a lot of old costume jewelry...and two rings (the ones in question) caught my eye because they looked a bit different...I also found a set of sterling and garnet earrings and a single diamond stud earring (14K - small diamond)...I KNOW where that one came from...I used to have my ear pierced several years ago...SO I have a bit more precious metal to add to my treasure stash!

The jeweler who made my ring put his initials inside the ring. It is LE Maybe they are people initials

then maybe vg stands for VG Gold Corp. :::::::::: Gold Exploration and Development in Timmins, Canada

Well congrats on the finds! I hope they turn out well for you. Nothing like adding to the goodie box and not having to dig to do it, Beale.
