Well, I traded the T2 LTD for an MX Sport. I wanted one of these since their release. I know that White's had some issues with them at first but being the customer-oriented company that they are, it appears that they have remedied the problems. I have seen a lot of youtube videos of this machine in action and I am excited to say the least. I already have a Makro waterproof PP so the MX Sport will fit right in with my plans for next year.
I know of a local river that is filled with canoes in the summer and locations where the canoes usually spill. The water is never very deep but it sees a lot of traffic. I will obviously land hunt for the remainder of this season so I can get familiar with the machine. Did I say I am excited?:D

Congrat's on the MX Sport ZR2guy. I have the MXT Pro and really like it. The MX Sport is like a waterproof MXT. Best of luck to you. Keep us informed on what you think of the Sport.

Congrats on the new machine. Look at the composition of the river bed. Sand, pebbles, gravel, rock, mud. Then figure out what kind of tool you'll need for the safe retrieval of targets. You might be able to get a good deal on a scoop during the winter months.

The water detecting will be new to me but I am excited to say the least. ATW, you bring up a good point. Obviously, the trowel-type digger that most of us use wont be the tool of choice. I have a lot to learn and will study over the winter.
We finally had a good all-day soaking rain here this week so I will take the Sport out for a drive this weekend.

Had to work today, having thunderstorms as I write this. May have storms tomorrow. I will have to get the waterproof headphones before next season. I won't mind hunting in the rain, hence the waterproof detector but the MX Sport nor I are lightning-proof:eek:. Anyway, as soon as I can get out with the Sport, I will post pics of my finds.
Now that the MX Sport has been updated and White's has ironed out the early issues, I have been seeing only good things about this machine.
