Hey Gang,

Who of you out there uses an MXT for their detecting addiction?

Hey gang, Mxt user(newbe) and need help choosing a double- d coil. Came with a 950 stock one but having trouble with separation in trashy areas and feel it will help me a little. What does everyone use, please. Thanks : Swamp Yankee

I have been using a MXT since a little after they came out. I know mine has to be 7 or 8 years old I am not sure really. Its a great machince but I have been thinking about trying something newer.

MXT here in southern new mexico.with an arsenal of coils is all i need and want. tried a few others but just can't get comfy with anything else.

Hey SW i hunt some pretty trashy areas.. and i use the 4x6 shooter with very good results it seperates very well.. i also have and use the eclipse DD 6x10 and it does pretty well in my light to moderate trashy areas. but when i find an area littered with trash like nails i go right to the little shooter it doesn't let me down. Jake, you made the Roll Call. Maybe one day I'll be able to be added to the list. Best of Luck to you with the MXT. I received the instructional dvd on the MXT & MXT PRO. It is pretty good, but pretty much basic. I know that there are a lot of video's on UTube on the MXT and probably a little more in depth. We are attempting to replace and upgrade our router. We bought a new one from AT&T, but are having problems with it. A technician from AT&T is supposed to come by tomorrow to check it out. It will be nice to be able to watch some of these without the video hanging up every 15 to 20 seconds.

Yeah, it's funny how much stuff modern technology can do but they can't get you a decent signal at your location. Hmmm... Keep me updated. (y)

Will do. You are correct, the latest and the greatest technology, and your router which is supposed to be a commercial grade can't get you up and going. Maybe they can get it figured out tomorrow. I hope so. I hate paying for services you can't really use.

Hey Hawk. It's good to hear from you. I hope all is going well for you and yours. I'm trying my best to join the MXT Roll call but I'm trying to sell my AT PRO in order to do this. I haven't had any takers as of yet. I will either sell the PRO and get the MXT or I will keep the PRO in the event it doesn't sell. Either way, I'll have a good detector. Don't be a stranger here on TQ. Take Care and HH.

KRose......you won't go wrong with the MXT. Look forward to hearing when you get one! Also pick up "The MXT Edge" by Jeff Foster. Some get intimidated at first with the information but for those that put in the time to read and reread it, the MXT becomes an extension of the arm much quicker and they will gain a better understanding of how to use it.

Teamroper.....Yes, the MXT is popular for sure!
