I have a Sandsbanks PI detector kit I purchased back in the 80's. Never put it to gether !

I know PI is not affected by regular mineralization as a VLF is but how about the black sand ? Can they find a gram nugget in a crack under say a 1/2 inch of black sand?

I bought it while in the U.K. and moved to Florida, To Greece, Back to the U.S.A. in Il. You would have thought I would have put it to gether by then eeeehh? Here I am in New Mexico and found a need for it.

Black sand is a heavy, glossy, partly magnetic mixture of usually fine sands,,so its mineralized,,at 1/2" -1 gram,,i'm gonna say that it should register a hit very well,,just make sure you learn how to ground balance it,,thats very important,,
